After growing up in Summit, NJ, performing in every possible music class and ensemble, Gillian went on to pursue a degree in Opera Performance at Carnegie Mellon University. She studied under greats such as Mildred Miller Posvar and Robert Page. While in school, she worked on roles in both operas and musicals, performed countless new works, and joined the international music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota. She also spent time as a board member and performer in the theatre group Scotch'n'Soda. Since graduating, she has been consistently working in regional theatre, national tours, and gigging as a church singer. While she enjoys working on classics, some of her favorite projects are new works with contemporary composers, and cabarets at some of the top venues in NYC. When she isn't pounding the pavement, you can find her cross-stitching or learning about her other passions: beer and cheese.
